StreetPrint® provides practical and attractive solutions for your community projects. The cost advantages over alternatives such as brick, stone or stamped concrete are significant. Quick installation, durability, easy maintenance and design flexibility make StreetPrint the product of choice for many streetscape projects. StreetPrint combines the flexibility and strength of asphalt with leading-edge coating technologies. From unique heating equipment to specialized coatings, our components are designed to work together to provide a superior surfacing solution that lasts.
StreetPrint® can be installed on existing asphalt that is in good condition, which can provide significant savings on pavement removal costs. The asphalt base provides superior stability and durability compared to traditional surfaces such as brick pavers. StreetPrint® application is faster, easier and less labor intensive to install than other decorative paving surfaces. StreetPrint® is installed by Licensed StreetPrint Applicators — owners and employees of professional paving and construction companies who are trained and certified by MKL for this specific technology.
StreetPrint® Installation Steps
1. The asphalt is heated with the StreetHeat SR60 reciprocating pavement heater. 2. StreetPrint woven steel templates are pressed into the warm asphalt using a plate compactor and then removed. 3. High performance StreetBond coatings are applied using the StreetPrint Rapid Sprayer.
StreetPrint® Tools, Equipment and Templates :SR-60 Infrared Heater
The SR-60 is the flag ship model that started the SR series of infrared reheat equipment for Stamped Asphalt surfaces. The proven design of the SR-60 employs an innovative reciprocating Infrared heater bed that allows the use of efficient, high-intensity true IR stainless steel alloy heaters to reheat the asphalt surface as well as melt thermoplastics. Designed specifically for medium to large commercial projects as well as imprinted asphalt residential driveways. – Gentle reciprocating heat – Heating area of 60 ft² (6.5ft x 9ft) [5.57m2 – 1.98m x 2.74m] – Very maneuverable – Integrated “Heat Soak” function – Adjustable heater camber – Lightweight compared to other pavement heaters – Proven Design Propane Requirements: 2x100lb Tanks, combined draw Power Requirements: 3000W Honda Generator w/ power conditioning Effective Heat Area for Stamping: 6ft x 8.5ft Effective Heat Area for Melting Thermoplastic: 5ft x 8ft
The SR-20 is the most maneuverable pavement heater in the StreetHeat family. It has always been the optimal device for heating borders, corners, narrow strips and perimeters of uncommon shapes. It now gives the user the ability to heat 18 inch / 45.7 cm areas or by rotating the heater bank, 3 ft / 91.4 cm areas. The SR-20 has always been the perfect tool for heating borders, and now with the ability to rotate the heaters and run dual propane tanks, it offers even greater heating and melting flexibility. Propane Requirements: 2 x 40 lbs. tanks (Not included) Power Requirements: None
The Hand Held Finishing Tools are sold in sets of two. They are struck with a hammer to impress asphalt in hard to reach areas or near edges. These hand held finishing tools offer a 3/8″ (.95 cm) rounded head that is perfect for mimicking the grout lines created by StreetPrint templates. Weight: 4 lbs (1.81 kg) per tool
